Getting to Capri
You can fly into Naples (NAP) or Rome (FCO). Naples is closer, but flights to Rome may be more cost-effective. Once you have landed, you can follow the directions below.
FROM NAPLES
Direct Ferry
Ferry from Naples to Capri: From Molo Beverello (the port), the ferry takes about 40-50 minutes. Ferries are available year-round, but frequencies vary with the season.
FROM ROME
By Train & Ferry
Train from Rome to Naples: Take a high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Italo) from Roma Termini to Napoli Centrale. The journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Ferry from Naples to Capri: From Naples' Molo Beverello port, take a ferry to Capri. The ferry ride takes about 40-50 minutes. You can book tickets in advance or at the port. Ferries are frequent, but check schedules in advance.
By Car & Ferry
Drive from Rome to Naples: This takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Ferry from Naples to Capri: Same as above, from Molo Beverello to Capri.
FROM THE AMALFI COAST
By Ferry
Ferry from Amalfi, Positano, or Sorrento to Capri: If you're staying along the Amalfi Coast, there are direct ferries from towns like Amalfi, Positano, or Sorrento to Capri. The ferry ride takes about 30-60 minutes depending on the departure point. Schedules vary by season, with more frequent service in the summer months.
By Car & Ferry
Drive to Naples (if you're not already near it). From towns like Positano, Amalfi, or Sorrento, it takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Naples. From Naples, take ferry ride to Capri.
